OpenStudy (dtan5457):

Very weird glitch....happening with @tkhunny

OpenStudy (dtan5457):

Looked at all users...saw this

OpenStudy (dtan5457):

Thought it was a duplicate account, but it's the exact same name

OpenStudy (dtan5457):

OpenStudy (dtan5457):

Then if you refresh a few times...

thomaster (thomaster):

So... what's the problem?

OpenStudy (kidrah69):

LOL @TheSmartOne @Jaynator495 would be glad to explain this VERY strange glitch

TheSmartOne (thesmartone):

@dtan5457 Umm you want to know that real story? :P

TheSmartOne (thesmartone):

Soo OpenStudy updated and now allows symbols. So he took a dare and made a duplicate account of it which has a symbol in the name, which is a letter but gets unotticed. :P

TheSmartOne (thesmartone):

So, the two accounts: @tkhunnу @tkhunny

TheSmartOne (thesmartone):

Look at their profiles: When you copy paste the fake account, you can see where the symbol is: http://openstudy.com/users/tkhunn%D1%83 http://openstudy.com/users/tkhunny Where as that is the real account ^

TheSmartOne (thesmartone):

Oh, don't worry. From what I heard, The actual tk suspended that troll account :P

OpenStudy (kidrah69):

Sometimes i wish they didnt bring the symbols back -_-

TheSmartOne (thesmartone):

For how long, I do not know. :P

OpenStudy (kidrah69):

probably as long as the mod got tired of holding the 0s after the 2 :P

TheSmartOne (thesmartone):

And I had a LOT named after me. The attar user made a lot under my name for what reason I do not know.

TheSmartOne (thesmartone):

But @Preetha this is something you need to look into: Users who have ( or [ and ] or ) at the ends (the same one on both ends) when you hover over their name, it shows them as the original account. It's very misleading and can be confusing. [including examples in next reply]

TheSmartOne (thesmartone):

@(ಠ_ಠ) NOT a moderator but shows as if he is. (I believe this is Jay's account.) Profile link: http://openstudy.com/users/(%E0%B2%A0_%E0%B2%A0)# Notice the ( and ) in the links. @ಠ_ಠ The moderator Profile link: http://openstudy.com/users/%E0%B2%A0_%E0%B2%A0 I first found this problem with this account: @Ran Profile Link: http://openstudy.com/users/(%5Bran%5D) His actual username is ([Ran]) but the system messes up @Ran Profile link: http://openstudy.com/users/Ran

TheSmartOne (thesmartone):

@ಠ_ಠ @ಠ_ಠ The two moderator and not moderator accounts.

TheSmartOne (thesmartone):

But it glitches and makes it show as if it is the moderator. There can be a lot of impersonating issues with this. Especially for moderators and ambassador accounts.

TheSmartOne (thesmartone):

And if a troll finds out about this, OpenStudy shall go crazy ;-;

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yeah I saw that last night

TheSmartOne (thesmartone):

And for some reason it keeps showing that account as online, when it is not.

OpenStudy (dtan5457):

Ohhh...I was unaware of the symbols...thanks for clearing that up. Thought it was some weird inception lol

OpenStudy (anonymous):

wow !

TheSmartOne (thesmartone):

:)

jaynator495 (jaynator495):

Im going to explain the face account... (jaynator495) would apear as (jaynator495) (tso to be honest i actually tested this on a account made with your username x'D i did (thesmartone) because i was curious... however it appeared as (thesmartone) the parenthesis disapeared in the name, however it showed the right user)

jaynator495 (jaynator495):

The only way that (jaynator495) would appear as jaynator495, if it was forged via a glitch

jaynator495 (jaynator495):

\(\color{blue}{\text{Originally Posted by}}\) @Jaynator495 The only way that (jaynator495) would appear as jaynator495, if it was forged via a glitch \(\color{blue}{\text{End of Quote}}\) and was the same people

jaynator495 (jaynator495):

Now i also had made a account that was eyeballs... i logged onto that account with the parenthesis, (i made it long ago LOL) and it had a conflict between the 2 accounts, because there was 2 accounts with the same exact name, due to that, on that account the parenthesis still show

jaynator495 (jaynator495):

If you remember tso, i messaged you from the account long long ago xD

jaynator495 (jaynator495):

and thus, i rest my case.

jaynator495 (jaynator495):

oh forgot a piece, You cant use () or [] in usernames, it is "not a valid username"

TheSmartOne (thesmartone):

true lol

jaynator495 (jaynator495):

Have i proved that it was the mod finally? if so finally! x'D
