OpenStudy (causticsyndicalist):

I have a suggestion: Instead of moderators having to delete a question because it was posted in the wrong subject, grant them the ability to move the question to the correct subject.

TheSmartOne (thesmartone):

Good idea, has been suggessted before a lot. But it is not probable.

OpenStudy (paki):

nice idea... have a look here... @hartnn

OpenStudy (callisto):

That requires some work in coding, I think.

OpenStudy (causticsyndicalist):

That's true, @Callisto

TheSmartOne (thesmartone):

How many times have you suggested this? (;

OpenStudy (kidrah69):

i like this idea :)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

good idea maybe some mods will like this (:

TheSmartOne (thesmartone):

And also, moderators don't delete posts in the wrong subjects. They simply close them :P

TheSmartOne (thesmartone):

Well then it also depends on the moderator too :P

OpenStudy (anonymous):

:P

OpenStudy (dtan5457):

Great idea.

OpenStudy (e.mccormick):

I asked the old coders about this. The code for moving the post was not the problem. It was the logistics of everything else. What happens to the people viewing it? Will they be moved to the other subject? What if they do not want to go? But some will want to if they were answering. Questions like that needed answering and they never came up with good answers so they did not work on it.

OpenStudy (amistre64):

umm, the poster has to carry some responsibility in posting. If all we do is 'move it for them' then theyll never learn to post correctly. Pandemonium will ensue and then just what good will societal rules be then huh? Do you really want to be responsible for the breakdown of society? Do ya? DO YA???

OpenStudy (causticsyndicalist):

Hmmm, I can see your hilariously-made point, @amistre64 =P

OpenStudy (amistre64):

yay!! :)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yAY

OpenStudy (anonymous):

LOL

OpenStudy (kidrah69):

xD

OpenStudy (anonymous):

XP

OpenStudy (confluxepic):

Nice suggestion. Would be very helpful though trolls might abuse it a bit.

OpenStudy (e.mccormick):

@amistre64 Are you trying to master the slippery slope method of non sequitorial argumentation?

OpenStudy (amistre64):

we have no slopes in florida :)

OpenStudy (e.mccormick):

Now that is a flat out lie. =P
