Chem help! medal for whoever helps 1. Why did the spectra for the laser light and flashlight differ when reflected from the CD surface? s the value you obtained for the wavelength of the laser light consistent with the range of wavelengths for the red light? Explain any sources of error that might have caused a large deviation. if you don't know #3 then that is okay

OpenStudy (aaronq):

lasers are monochromatic (short emission spectrum actually), while flashlights are not - they produce light of a wide range of wavelengths (these are specific for the type of bulb). can't answer the rest as I didn't do the experiment, myself.

@aaronq thanks!
