Well we can easily cross off both C and D. Leaving us to choose either A or B. Water is treated by chlorine, responsability to acidify the water of the pool in such way that the microorganisms die, but people who go inside remain healthy. 
Other than that, the indicator measures a solution pH, determining weither it is alkaline or acid.
