Well. Portugal had a lot of explorers, specifically during the 15th and 16th century. Their achievements (as you ask for) include:
- Discovering and exploring the coasts of Africa, Asia and Brazil
- First to reach India by sailing around Africa (Vasco da Gama)
- Discovering the Canary Islands
- Discovering the Congo River
