An experiment consists of rolling a fair die until it lands on four. What is the probability that it will land on at least one four? fair certain impossible not very likely @jack1

OpenStudy (jack1):

k so you have 1 die and it has 6 sides and one side is a 4 how likely is it that it'll land on the 4 (like in numbers: how likely?)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Can u give me one moment my little bro is upset ill be right back

OpenStudy (jack1):

wait, this is a trick question you keep rolling until you get a 4, so you're pretty certain to get a 4, otherwise you're still rolling b

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Back and ok, and how do i know if something if "fair" or "certain"

OpenStudy (jack1):

i dunno exactly, but certain = 100% likely impossible = 0% likely i'd guess fair at > 50% likely and no?t very as <50 % likely

OpenStudy (jack1):

so if its 51% or more, then fair and 49% or less, not very likely

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Ok, I have like 2 or 3 more :)

OpenStudy (jack1):

cool, close this down and open up the new q's =)
