\[\sqrt{x}+\sqrt{4x}=6\]

OpenStudy (elisaneedshelp):

Okay let me recheck maybe i got confued

OpenStudy (acxbox22):

D: but sat u are a mod why the direct answer?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yeah there are not that many numbers that are perfect squares, so you can usually to it by checking small numbers, no algebra

OpenStudy (elisaneedshelp):

it gave me 4 when i tried

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@acxbox22 because it is not necessary to do it the math teacher way. check what works othaerwise someone is going to tell you to square both sides and waste as butt load of time

OpenStudy (elisaneedshelp):

two of my answer choices are fractions and then i know that 6 wont work

OpenStudy (acxbox22):

ya i meaqn if u are given answer choices then u can plug it in and see which one works if not given options, do algebra or do it sat's way

OpenStudy (elisaneedshelp):

Omg nvm i get what i did wrong

OpenStudy (elisaneedshelp):
