Poem Titled: High Drama On the Edge of a Horizon

And again, Here we are, twice again;
A tall tale for little men-
With high hopes and low bars.
With big mouths and small talk.

Your petition, your assertions, for more.
I want more , they scream
I need more, you scream
But do you give more?
Do I give you more?
Nay, I am vigilant,
I choose to wait.


waiting for her to throw me a dime not grime.
waiting for her to reveal her coarse silk skin.
waiting for her to numb the chills of fright,
waiting, oh, the allure, Thou art the perilous sands of time.

As she was, she is and is to be, she came.
came in her own due time.
On her own set of rules.
Left me high and dry, withered and in pain
poor and blind
utterly insane.
she gave a fair as fair warning could be
Set her demand, made her reprimand,
but gave me no time

Alas she cried,
I wait for no one.
I do not resent
I will not repent
I am not your master nor am I mine,
nor do I concede my secret,
at least not for a penniless mime

But yey, gladly will I replace the object of thy scorn
easing the pain of you who mourn.
yet Fate, my cold heart husband,
played me by the palm of his hand,
I am a simple puppet, disguised a prophet.
But I have a soul,
I do not resent,
I will not repent,
I will not retract,
what I cannot take back,
or so goes my cry.

DING! she paused, CLANG!, she rang again.
Alas, she spoke, like clockwork,
but her charm was not in her chime
she feigned:

My beloved, the sun has set.
it's too late to vent.
your dreams are mine, no more time, just regret.
My warning is stern
My decision, final
I do not resent
I will not repent
I shall not wait,
You may not circumvent.

An old fool, that I am.
wisdom knocked my door,
But I muttered It is I, I said I, the great I,
shall serve my guest,
Sir. Vanity, he's the very best.
Templar of the night,
Defender of the blind.
come drink with me, he said
come dine with me, they said
come sleep with me. she said
Here lies my bed,


Under many rose petals,
only but six feet separate me from my breath.
