Can anyone help me out with dynamic array?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

you mean like ArrayList?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

No, like dynamic memory. Im using c++

OpenStudy (bibby):

*var = new var[3]? what specifically do you need?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

What im trying to do is point to an array holding a number.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

We need more context. We don't know what you are talking about.

OpenStudy (rsmith6559):

When you request memory on the heap, a pointer to the beginning of the memory is returned. You have to declare the data type that you're going to store so that the compiler knows how many bytes to add to the pointer to get to the index that you want.
