i am going on strike because i get banned for saying DIRECT ANSWERS!!!! so how am i going to help the person figure out the problem

OpenStudy (♪chibiterasu):

You're not really helping them solve it if you give only the answer.

OpenStudy (♪chibiterasu):

Also, giving direct answers is against our Code of Conduct: http://openstudy.com/code-of-conduct

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i help them with the work and then i say say the anwser and i get banned

OpenStudy (♪chibiterasu):

If you have a problem with a moderator's action's and think what they're doing is wrong, acontact: abuse@openstudy.com

OpenStudy (kidrah69):

And now you are evading suspension congrats!

OpenStudy (kidrah69):

OpenStudy values the Learning process - not the ‘Give you an answer’ process Don’t post only answers - guide the asker to a solution. Have homework problems? We can help you - as long as you are looking to learn how to get your solution (and not just the answer). Please do not copy and paste your problems. If people are going to spend time to help you, you should at least spend the time to ask your question as clearly as possible.

for example if someone doesn't know that 1+1 is(most people know it and i have never answered it on Open study) i say you add one and one so you get 2, and i get banned after

OpenStudy (kidrah69):

Still direct

OpenStudy (kidrah69):

@amistre64

OpenStudy (greencat):

Dont answer the simple context-based questions. It's a trap. http://i0.kym-cdn.com/photos/images/facebook/000/001/384/Atrapitis.gif

OpenStudy (anonymous):

lol

OpenStudy (amistre64):

either someone doesnt know how to add it, or they are trolling either way, giving them the answer instead of helping them understand it is against our policies.

OpenStudy (amistre64):

i cant see any suspensions in my notifs over the past 12 hours so i cant say what it is you did

OpenStudy (anonymous):

im just saying for the future and on my old account

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Just look at it this way. If you give someone the answer, they won't learn in the future, and won't be educated. You need to guide them to the answer, and let them participate in getting the answer. So for example, you would tell them how to do it, and let them try to figure it out, and if they are still confused, then give them a little more assistance. Does this sound alright to you? :)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

this is what im saying i do help them figure out the anwser then i say it and i get suspended

OpenStudy (worlddomination):

Well when they ask for the answer just guide them, they're just lazy

OpenStudy (worlddomination):

thank you
