The Gobi desert is located in northern china and southern Mongolia.
Central Asia contains the countries of Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan, Turkmenistan, Tajikistan, and others like Tibet, Pakistan, and Mongolia are considers part if Central Asia. 
Mongolia is borders by Russia and China.
