Which answer correctly describes the authority of state commerce laws following Gibbons v. Ogden? States could pass commerce laws affecting anything except international trade. States could not pass commerce laws in direct conflict with federal law. State commerce laws could override all federal commerce laws. State commerce laws could only override federal commerce laws regarding international trade. I will give a medal to the person I believe has given me the best answer. :)

I know D is wrong. And I believe C is wrong as well. If I had to choose, I would pick A. I just need a second opinion.
