16y < 11 + 5y subtract 5y from both sides 16y - 5y < 11 + 5y - 5y can you continue from here?
11 and 6
no 16y - 5y < 11 + 5y - 5y on left side 16y - 5y = 11y and on right side the 5y's disappear ( 5y - 5y = 0) so we get 11y = 11 so what is the value of y?
if the 0 would it be 110-11
sorry 11y < 11
