A restaurant requires customers to pay a 15% tip for the server. Your family spends $65 on the meal. a) How much money do you need to pay the server? b) How much money will you spend total?

OpenStudy (ashleyisakitty):

To find the % of a number, simple multiply it by the putting a decimal in front of the whole number that the percentage will be. So to find 15% of 65, multiply 65 * .15. Then to find the total cost, add 65 plus the amount of the tip.
