What happened to the subject english? most of it is literature now :/

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@dtan5457 @dan815

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@TheSmartOne

OpenStudy (dtan5457):

Not really sure what you mean. Meh, I rarely goto the english section anyhow

TheSmartOne (thesmartone):

You mean that the questions asked in English are mainly literature questions?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@TheSmartOne Yes

TheSmartOne (thesmartone):

Well I feel like Litereature should be a subtopic in English @TheAsker2002 I really don't see why they had to make another subject for that .-.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

English is for grammar and stuff litature is stories

TheSmartOne (thesmartone):

Oh, well then you can redirect them to the literature section. hmm

eclipsedstar (eclipsedstar):

^ Yeah I agree... however Literature isn't one of the busiest subjects out there, so...lol

OpenStudy (anonymous):

This seems to bother me, too. English is for questions that deal with Language and GUM - Grammar, Usage, and Mechanics, as my school says.

sammixboo (sammixboo):

Good idea for the Literature to be a sub-topic, and some literature questions are infact in English classes

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@sammixboo I think its a bad idea

TheSmartOne (thesmartone):

Well it would make the section more active and people's question would be answered faster too .-.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

They dot get answered when they are in there

OpenStudy (confluxepic):

Let's make it an equation/function. \(\normalsize\ English=Language+(English\times Literature)+Grammar+{\chi}\) \(\normalsize\ {\chi}=All~the~other~stuff~in~English.\) The Literature section should be a subsection of the English section. But according to my formula Literature is part of English and English is part of literature. I don't think it matters as long as they are both part of each other.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

One subject each :)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

And plus it kinda ruins the subject in English cause you would only get literature questions

OpenStudy (confluxepic):

Are you sure that you would\(\ only\) get Literature questions in the English section? @TheAsker2002

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I agree with @sammixboo! :D A sub-topic would be good. :)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@BlossomCake whats a sub topic?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

A sub-topic - Literature could be a subset of English, like a smaller part of it. Like how, for example, in the Mathematics section there are many sup-topics such as Algebra, Statistics, Geometry, and Probability... :)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I never saw that lol

OpenStudy (anonymous):

XD

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Then i agree to

OpenStudy (anonymous):

:D :D :D
