super duper easy math question:) simplify this.

OpenStudy (misty1212):

HI!!

OpenStudy (misty1212):

what are you supposed to do with it?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

simplify it:) i feel like this is a no brainer but I'm currently stuck on it and have no clue how to reduce this @misty1212

OpenStudy (misty1212):

i guess you could factor

OpenStudy (misty1212):

\[3^{x+1}-3^x=3^x(3-1)=2\times 3^x\]

OpenStudy (anonymous):

oh yea i get it thanks!

OpenStudy (misty1212):

similarly \[3^x-3^{x-1}=3^{x-1}(3-1)=2\times 3^{x-1}\]

OpenStudy (misty1212):

then you get \[\frac{2\times 3^x}{2\times 3^{x-1}}=3\]

OpenStudy (anonymous):

omg thanks girl:P that makes sense
