All Quiet on the Western Front: 2. In what setting does the heavy shelling of chapter 4 take place and what's ironic about it?
All I need to know is the setting to answer this question.
cause I was thinking the reserves but I wasn't quite for sure if this was right
The reserves? I'm not quite clear on what that is.
it was in the book, I am guessing an area where they hid from the bombardment
I believe the setting is somewhere in Germany. What's ironic about it is that the title contains the words "all quiet" even though nothing about the heavy shelling was the slightest fiber of silent.
@KyanTheDoodle The setting is at the front, it wasn't referring to the whole book, it only referred to what the setting was in chapter 4 ONLY.
Well then I really don't know. I never read the book.
