In a 500 word essay, discuss the social, political, and economic issues that black Americans faced after reconstruction.

After Reconstruction, black Americans still faced many challenges. Reconstruction didn’t bring the promising future the freed slaves were hoping for. The Freedmen’s Bureau helped many black American families find jobs and houses and educations, but it didn’t affect white people’s personal prejudice. al power. Even in states more populated by black Americans, organizations like the Ku Klux Klan used scare tactics to prevent the black Americans from voting. The Jim Crow laws were still in place, which also kept the black Americans oppressed. They couldn’t get out of debt. Not many black Americans owned property. They weren’t treated nicely at all, because the bitter feelings from the war still remained.

Add in something about Martin Luther King, and Malcom X. Both men held great speeches, as well as overcame certain things, and helped solve certain problems.

Also add in different facts about slavery, and how the white people dealt with it. White people's pride and greed for slavery was great. They tried to have slavery open again, as well as enforce crueler laws, that are worse than Jim Crow Laws.
