Which answer choice correctly replaces the underlined words? Say, let us go to the lake this afternoon. A. lets B. let's C. lets'

OpenStudy (anonymous):

let us is underlined

OpenStudy (anonymous):

A :-)

OpenStudy (twizttiez):

You don't need help? XD

OpenStudy (twizttiez):

It's B btw XD

OpenStudy (vickyisthesmartone123):

B IS CORREDCT

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Let's stands for Let is. Instead of giving out the direct answer actually explain it. So read the sentence with "Let is" which sounds better. Let is, or lets, or just lets. Nerdy,

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I learned my lesson about giving out direct answers, you are not aloud to on this site. You can only explain first. Thanks

OpenStudy (anonymous):

So A...

OpenStudy (anonymous):

No, Try again, ready it carefully.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Let's can also stand for something else too.

OpenStudy (vickyisthesmartone123):

it is b

OpenStudy (anonymous):

It wouldn't be Let is, im explaining why its not. Others sometimes will be is, but this one stands for "Let us"

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@NerdyHamster Can you describe or explain the difference for Lets, Let's, Lets' when we use them

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Sure, Difference lets is not short for let us. Lets' is barely used like that, the only one that would make sense is Let us, which is Let's.

OpenStudy (wolfadaskies):

B is correct. "Let us" is the prolonged version of "Let's".

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Wolf is correct.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Anymore questions a-good-love-story? if so link me.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Sorry for the confusing response hehe.

OpenStudy (vickyisthesmartone123):

b is correct sheesh listen!!!!!!!!!!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Vicky, giving out direct answers with no explanation is against the rules.
