The dimensions of triangle A are twice the dimensions of triangle B. The area of triangle A is 32 cm2. What is the area of triangle B? 8 cm2 32 cm2 64 cm2 16 cm2 https://app37.studyisland.com/pics/115360triangle4.png @rishavraj

OpenStudy (alexandervonhumboldt2):

as the dimenshion are twice the dimenshion of tri B, the scale factor is 1/2. now square this factor: 1/2^2=1/4. now the answer is 32*1/4=8

OpenStudy (alexandervonhumboldt2):

thus the area of new triangle is 8
