Eighth Grade and Seventh Grade overlap each other at the point 22 and 26.
b) Find the IQR of each set.
HINT:  The Inter-quartile range (IQR) is simply the width of each box in the box and whisker plot.


c) Find the difference between the medians of the sets.
HINT:  The median of 7th graders is 18.  What is the median of 8th graders?  What is the difference?
d) What number multiplied by the IQR equals the difference between the medians of the two sets? HINT:  We know the IQR (answer B above).  We know the difference between the medians (answer C above).  What do you have to multiply answer B by to get answer C?
