Which equation best represents the line? y = 3 over 4. x + 4 y = 4 over 3.x + 4 y = 4x + 3 over 4. y = 4x + 4 over 3.
the last two are out becuase the y intercept is 4 right?
yes
okay now the slope of the line is the measurement of the change in y over the change in x so for instance if the slope was 1/2 than you would start on one point and move 1 up and 2 across.
you could also use the formula i gave you last time
what do you wanna do?
I got 0,2
did you use the formula?
x1-y1 AND x2-y2 right
normally when you use the formula you'll get a fraction becuase it uses those two points in the equation
I'll do it a second time
if you use the y intercept as 0, 4 that can be one of your points then just find another point on the graph like 4, 7
I got 3/4
yep thats right :) good job
so A or C would be a answer
its only one of them. remember that a lines equation is y = (slope)x + (y intercept)
c
not really. Whats the y intercept do you remember?
3/4
thats the slope the y intercept is where the line intersects with the y axis
the first thing we did was find the y intercept do you remmebr what it was?
