How many solutions will the following system of linear equations have? –2x + 4y = –7 y= -1/2x+5 A. 0 B. 1 C. 2 D.infinite how do i do the math for this??
Hold on :)i have this.
im sooo bad at math.. its not even funny
@jenna1420 You have to try.
I see you are not going to try.
basically, all you have to do is put your equations given in y = mx + b form then compare the slopes (m) and the y intercepts (b). if the slopes are the same and the y intercepts the same, then there is infinite solutions if the slopes are the same and the y intercepts different, its a parallel line with no solutions if the slopes are different and the y intercepts different, then there is 1 solution
i was trying it but it kind confused me lol but thanks texaschic.. i didn't know which formula to use :] that helps
you can also do it the way @DivineSolar said
and @DivineSolar you helped also.. but like i said im bad bad at math so when i tried doing it your way i got confused... thank you both tho! :}
Alright. Sure thing.
I'm not sure but i did the math and i got B
i got no solutions..
and @DivineSolar you helped also.. but like i said im bad bad at math so when i tried doing it your way i got confused... thank you both tho! :}
the answer is B i checked my work
