OpenStudy (kj4uts):

Suppose that a population parameter is 0.2, and many samples are taken from the population. As the size of each sample increases, the mean of the sample proportions would approach which of the following values? A. 0.2 B. 0.1 C. 0.3 D. 0.4

OpenStudy (tkhunny):

Is that the Law of Large Numbers or the Central Limit Theorem? You decide.

OpenStudy (kj4uts):

Would it be the law of large numbers because as a sample size grows, its mean will get closer and closer to the average of the whole population?

OpenStudy (tkhunny):

Not quite. The mean doesn't get closer, necessarily. The Expected Value of the Mean should converge to the True Mean. It's very picky language.
