you have y ÷ 4 • 3 – 6 ÷ x + 8 you are told that x=3 and y=24 so this means you know what values x and y are, so you replace x and y with these values so y ÷ 4 • 3 – 6 ÷ x + 8 becomes 24 ÷ 4 • 3 – 6 ÷ 3 + 8
just add them together and get your answer
