TheSmartOne (thesmartone):

Cool owl @Whitemonsterbunny17 (:

OpenStudy (.th3_m0nst3r.):

Thanks! @TheSmartOne ^.^ Which one looks better in your opinion? xD (I know, they both need more work)

TheSmartOne (thesmartone):

They both look nice! (:

TheSmartOne (thesmartone):

@.TH3_M0NST3R.

OpenStudy (godlovesme):

:o

TheSmartOne (thesmartone):

It's a 0 not an o :P

OpenStudy (godlovesme):

I didn't see the dot at the end.. :/

OpenStudy (.th3_m0nst3r.):

XD Yeah, it's an odd name. cx But thanks! :3

OpenStudy (godlovesme):

Nice owls(: @.TH3_M0NST3R.

OpenStudy (godlovesme):

FINALLY!! :D

OpenStudy (godlovesme):

OpenStudy (godlovesme):

\(\huge\XP\)

OpenStudy (godlovesme):

OpenStudy (godlovesme):

Ohh I forgot the ' {} ' lol thanks ;3

TheSmartOne (thesmartone):

\(\sf\Large :\hspace -5 pt{P}\)

OpenStudy (godlovesme):

~jelly~ (;

OpenStudy (godlovesme):

\(\huge{NOT~ANYMORE~\) (; ;)

OpenStudy (godlovesme):

Oh gosh ._.

TheSmartOne (thesmartone):

I had to use hspace (recently learned it :D ) to make it look good xD

OpenStudy (godlovesme):

Hole on I'll fix it

OpenStudy (.th3_m0nst3r.):

\hspace is an awesome command! :3

OpenStudy (godlovesme):

\(\huge{HEWO~:3}\)

OpenStudy (godlovesme):

YAY ^-^

OpenStudy (.th3_m0nst3r.):

Ooooooh \(\Large\frak\color{blueviolet}{Herro!~}\bf\color{purple}{:D}\)

OpenStudy (godlovesme):

U guys always have something better -_- ;P XD

TheSmartOne (thesmartone):

Try `\hspace [you can use + or - depending on which way you want it to move]x pt{think you want to move}`

TheSmartOne (thesmartone):

thing*

OpenStudy (.th3_m0nst3r.):

You don't even have to use +.

OpenStudy (.th3_m0nst3r.):

But if you want negative space, you have to use -

OpenStudy (.th3_m0nst3r.):

TSO, do you understand \vspace ?

TheSmartOne (thesmartone):

never heard of that .-.

OpenStudy (.th3_m0nst3r.):

Oh. I think it stands for "vertical space", while \hspace is "horizontal space". I've never played around with \vspace, but maybe it will help me try to make things closer vertically.

TheSmartOne (thesmartone):

Interesting, with the new update the preview has disappeared :o

OpenStudy (.th3_m0nst3r.):

No, it's still here, just reload. :p

TheSmartOne (thesmartone):

There we go c:

OpenStudy (.th3_m0nst3r.):

The magic of reloading... XD

eclipsedstar (eclipsedstar):

^ refreshing? heheh ^w^

TheSmartOne (thesmartone):

How does one use this \vspace? o_o

OpenStudy (.th3_m0nst3r.):

I dunno, ask Eric. x'D

TheSmartOne (thesmartone):

or @Jaynator495 or @nobrainiachere ;P

OpenStudy (.th3_m0nst3r.):

XD Whelp, someone has to know. I know Eric does, not sure who else. I think there's another type of space, too. Can't remember what it was, though.

TheSmartOne (thesmartone):

Maybe @UnkleRhaukus might know too about \space c:

OpenStudy (domebotnos):

\(testing\)

OpenStudy (domebotnos):

WOOOOOOOOOO I DID IT

OpenStudy (domebotnos):

now, how do i make the colours? and bigger??

OpenStudy (domebotnos):

\(huge\) lauren\)

TheSmartOne (thesmartone):

`\(\sf testing\)` `\fontname text`

TheSmartOne (thesmartone):

add \huge and it will work :P

OpenStudy (domebotnos):

\(huge lauren)\

OpenStudy (domebotnos):

nope

TheSmartOne (thesmartone):

add \ before huge :P

OpenStudy (.th3_m0nst3r.):

Sizes are \scriptsize \tiny \small \normalsize \large \Large \LARGE \huge

OpenStudy (.th3_m0nst3r.):

Fonts are \it \tt \bf \rm \cal \frak \scr

OpenStudy (domebotnos):

so if i want to make my name big, how?

OpenStudy (.th3_m0nst3r.):

And for colors, you can type in pretty much any color name. To make your name big: `\(\Large{typeyournameinbracketshere}\)`

OpenStudy (domebotnos):

\(\Large{PUG}\)

OpenStudy (domebotnos):

ok, now how do i make it colourfull?

OpenStudy (domebotnos):

\(\huge\color{red}{I~WANT~MY~ACCOUNT~BACK!!!!!!}\)

OpenStudy (domebotnos):

that was a copy and paste

OpenStudy (.th3_m0nst3r.):

You type in the colorname. `\(\Large\color{choosecolor}{choosetext}\)`

OpenStudy (.th3_m0nst3r.):

Example: `\(\Large\color{blueviolet}{Hello!}\)` \(\Large\color{blueviolet}{Hello!}\)

OpenStudy (domebotnos):

and do i need those brackets??

OpenStudy (.th3_m0nst3r.):

Yes.

OpenStudy (domebotnos):

ok so let me work my magic

OpenStudy (domebotnos):

\(\huge\color{orange}{pugs~are~love~pugs~are~lyfe\)

OpenStudy (domebotnos):

dangit

TheSmartOne (thesmartone):

You forgot to end it with } so you wrote this: `\(\huge\color{orange}{pugs~are~love~pugs~are~lyfe\)` make it: `\(\huge\color{orange}{pugs~are~love~pugs~are~lyfe}\)`

OpenStudy (domebotnos):

\(huge\color{orange}{pugs~are~love~pugs~are~lyfe}\)

OpenStudy (domebotnos):

... i did something wrong

TheSmartOne (thesmartone):

Forgot to add \ before huge You wrote this: `\(huge\color{orange}{pugs~are~love~pugs~are~lyfe}\)` Make it this: `\(\huge\color{orange}{pugs~are~love~pugs~are~lyfe}\)`

OpenStudy (domebotnos):

ooh

OpenStudy (domebotnos):

im lost

OpenStudy (domebotnos):

\(\huge\color{pink}{pugs~are~love~pugs~are~lyfe}\)

OpenStudy (domebotnos):

WOOOOOOOOOOOO

OpenStudy (.th3_m0nst3r.):

There ya go! cx

TheSmartOne (thesmartone):

(:

OpenStudy (.th3_m0nst3r.):

TSO, do you get this? http://www-hermes.desy.de/latex/ltx-163.html

OpenStudy (.th3_m0nst3r.):

What I've tried of it hasn't worked.

TheSmartOne (thesmartone):

I saw that too when I googled it earlier xD, and it didn't work for me. .-.

OpenStudy (.th3_m0nst3r.):

Oh xD Maybe it's one of the commands that don't work? o-O

OpenStudy (unklerhaukus):

As useful as it is, `\vspace` doesn't exist in MathJaX. As for `\hspace`, there are a few different units you can use: ``` \[ 0\hspace{1pt}2\\ 1\hspace{1ex}2\\ 1\hspace{1em}2\\ 1\hspace{1cm}2 \] ``` \[0\hspace{1pt}1\\ 1\hspace{1ex}3\\ 2\hspace{1em}5\\ 3\hspace{1cm}7\] The units `pt` and `cm`, are points, and centimetres, which are an absolute units, whereas, `ex` and `em`, are the vertical and horizontal sizes of the chars "x" and "m" (in the current font) respectively.

TheSmartOne (thesmartone):

Thanks (:
