OpenStudy (anonymous):

let f(x) = x - 2 and g(x) = x^2 - 7x - 9. find f(g(-1))

OpenStudy (astrophysics):

Well, I first like to find f(g(x)) which just means plug in g(x) wherever there is an x in f(x) \[f(g(x)) = (x^2-7x-9)-2\] now you can solve for f(g(-1))
