- Discussions and questions on musical theory.
- Discussions and questions on instruments, instrumentation, composition, songwriting, etc.
- Posting your own original work for feedback and criticism (as usual, please be respectful).

\(\sf \Huge \color{blue}{Dont's:}\)

- Post YouTube videos for other artists.
- Post poems, they belong in the literature or writing section.
- Post SoundCloud links for other artists.
- Post questions about what people's favorite genres are.
- Post an Artist's name and a song by them, (e.g. a question that contains just-something like "One Direction Kiss You")
- Post song lyrics that are not yours
-Poll questions (e.g. "Do you like this song?" "What do you think about this band?" etc.)
- Questions like "What songs should I download?" "What's good music for a birthday party?"
- Information about personal accounts is also apparently not allowed
- Post \(\sf \text{rap battle}\) threads
- This is already covered in the CoC, but do NOT post anything with inappropriate subject material (use your best judgement)

You guys say that we can't post rap stuff, yet raps are educational. They are just a way of putting poems into music. Rap is poetry which is academic in Language Arts so if you can't understand that, then OS is truly not a study site if you won't allow every education music thing.

The reason why \(\sf \color{red}{\text{rap battles}}\) are not allowed is because there are possibilities that people, who are rapping, include some swear words. If users 13 years old or so, read all those swear words, would you say it's a good thing and educational for them?

Posting your own rap song is okay as long as it is clean.

And again, this is already been discussed before, not once, but twice.

Quick question, what if someone posts their rap, and then someone else comments their own rap lyrics to sort of add on to the original lyrics? Not so much a "rap battle" as it is a compilation of multiple lyrics from multiple users to create one BIG rap song.... Is that a do or don't?

Depends on if this participatory creation was invited or not. If someone is looking for a critique or collaboration, they need to be clear in their question.

lol the only thing that I just did is copy and paste all the guidelines from the previous posts, which is not really a real work. I just wanted to make this guideline visible as much as possible for users who are not aware of it. The bump button is getting longer to become available ...
