Solve for x x+y=5 2x+3y=20

OpenStudy (astrophysics):

Which method

OpenStudy (anonymous):

it doesnt say

OpenStudy (astrophysics):

Ok so lets assume we can use any then, which are you most comfortable with?

OpenStudy (hockeychick23):

I would use elimination, its the easiest way to solve this: (x+y=5)2 2x+3y=20 So I would multiply the top equation by 2 first

OpenStudy (astrophysics):

What way would you like to use @katrinamarie0803

OpenStudy (astrophysics):

You can use what hockeychick suggested and multiply the top equation by -3 and eliminate the y and solve for x.
