who thinks we came from the monkey(evolution)....i don't...i believe that God..the only God that made heaven and earth.... made us

OpenStudy (kenljw):

The process of evolution is proven today with viruses and bacteria as well as observation within certain eco systems. The question is did God actually create in a spontaneous way or evolve over time. According to geology and archaeology the planet has been here a long time and many animals have lived and gone extinct. We have remnants of human habitation from ancient locations around the world and how man progressed over the years. If God did create man and everything else spontaneously why make man go through so much? My view is God came out of creation, and by God I mean God the Father not just some arbitrary supreme being or one that happen to fit someone else belief structure as Zeus, Oden, The Great Spirit, or any other. God, through the scriptures, tells me how to live not what he's to do in this world, if God answered a person every prayer, asked, then that person would be God. The truth of the matter is learn to ask if something is a matter of scriptures or been observed by the one instructing.

Thats the the same thing I read in Qur'aan in the story of the people of the cave. "And We made their hearts firm and strong (with the light of Faith in Allah and bestowed upon them patience to bear the separation of their kith and kin and dwellings, etc.) when they stood up and said: "Our Lord is the Lord of the heavens and the earth, never shall we call upon any ilah (god) other than Him; if we did, we should indeed have uttered an enormity in disbelief." [18:14]

OpenStudy (kendricklamar2014):

I believe in what the bible says. The Bible says: that God has existed for the beginning of time. God created Man and Woman so they could repopulate. God also created all the animals that we see today. Resource: The Bible/Genesis 1st chapter

Why are people bringing Science into Religion?

OpenStudy (kenljw):

Personally I believe they are inseparable, the error I see is making science above religion. As long a man exist they will look outside themselves and try to understand the world, as the first commandment be fruitful and multiply.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Well first and foremost, you go to a religion topic and bring up a science question. This is some "critical thinking" you have here. However, I'll humor you. Evolution is flawed, and it can be proved with a simple question to answer yours. IF it should be true, why do we still have monkeys , apes, chimpanzees, etc..? Why is it that in the history of EVER, has a primate ever "evolved" into a human? Come now, we're not Pokemon.

OpenStudy (autogenius):

I would like to add that evolution is only a theory. My professor, who is an evolutionist, even said that we cannot prove evolution and that it can only be considered a theory. So what I am trying to say is that we should not assume that evolution and science based on evolutionary thinking is factual. I personally believe that God created everything even though we cannot establish a definite origin or beginning date. My brother's professor, who was also an evolutionist, said that even he cannot fathom that everything was formed out of nothing. He believes that a Supreme Being had to set everything in motion. I am not saying that professors are always right, but I am saying that even intelligent and sophisticated people accept that their has to be a God who created everything. Also, some may say the archeology and science prove the evolutionary process to be factual, but as I said before, these conclusions are based on the mentality that evolution is true (which means that this science has a bias).

OpenStudy (autogenius):

I personally believe that the God of the Bible created everything, because archeologically and scientifically the creation event that the Bible states has not been proven false. Also, I cannot fathom that the universe was formed without a Creator. I became a Christian because what the Bible says, came true in my life. I also feel as if God has confirmed His existence to me by the many subtle and sometime obvious things He does in my life. I am not a person that blindly came to know that there is a God, but it took me very long to confirm my belief in God. I also believe nature (and its beauty) show that their had to be a Designer. Have much patience and open eyes, and hopefully you will get your answer like I got mine. Hope that helps :)

OpenStudy (kenljw):

No theory can be proved only disproved, when confronted with a set of facts you might be able to devise a theory of there causes. The test of any theory is the prediction of another fact which can be observed. This is the basic scientific method, I've observed things that may be considered manna, or it may be entirely of God. Christ said you can not serve manna and God both. I've have observe miracles I have decided they are not manna but the working within God's creation that can and will be discovered or revealed to man. My faith is not founded on science but on God the Father on which Christ said all is possible.

OpenStudy (aaronq):

"who thinks we came from the monkey.." "IF it should be true, why do we still have monkeys" "I would like to add that evolution is only a theory" That's some nice bait, guys. If you guys arent trolling, then you know nothing about evolution, nor scientific theories in general. LOL

OpenStudy (kenljw):

You don't understand the evolution theory of man, man did not come entirely form apes, When you have a mutation it eithers survives or dies out depending on whether the mutation is positive or negative. This is Darwin's theory of natural selection. Modern day examples, in the US the average IQ has increased by 18 points in the last 70 years, this may be caused by better diet or those with lower IQ really couldn't survive with families in our modern society. The average difference in height between North and South Korean is 3 inches, this most likely is entirely due to diet. If you read the Prophet's God say's all man is Ethiopian, African, and if you read Numbers you'll discover the Moses wife was African. These a scriptural cites that actually somewhat confirms evolution, so before you make any imaginary proclamations you really should read all of scriptures and stop being spoon fed.

OpenStudy (greencat):

What if monkeys were made to be similar to humans to test faith and get rid of those that don't believe.

OpenStudy (kenljw):

Yes and I'm just sitting in my living room talking to imaginary people on the site.

OpenStudy (jumperman):

1.God and evolution cannot be reconciled. They are contradictory. The universe came first, then light according to Genesis 1:1. According to science, light came first and then the universe. Completely contradictory. 2. Anyone can make a miscalculation. Whatever sparked the idea that earths antiquity is millions of years old, which started with James Hutton, is not really supported. If evolution can be observed today, well, no scratch that. Prove that evolution can be observed today. I really want to see it. If it's possible to see, then evolution is wrong. If it's not, evolution is still wrong. 3. It takes more faith to believe in no God, then a supernatural deity. Honestly, God existed before creation. Creation isn't existence. There is a big difference.

OpenStudy (greencat):

What if Got punished bad people and turned them into monkeys and that's why we have monkeys.

OpenStudy (kenljw):

Read Isaiah 66 where it say's essentually Rome wasn't built in a day, this insinuates a long path of creation. I believe in the two alpha omega's in Revelation chapter one, which can mean God the Father, Christ, and the universe all came about together, this elimantes who came first the chicken or the egg, in fact that is the true trilogy. As for evolution you can't make any assetions against it unless your studied much of modern day biology, which can genetical modify plants and animals and even clone. In fact there's works today in how to genetically modify humans, though its only studies now but that may change, major work is being done in China. There is no way to stop the future. study and live your life the way you think it should be lived.

OpenStudy (jumperman):

Genetically modifying animals and cloning them all do not come from nothing, they come from an already existing animal. In order to clone a mosquito, lets say for an example, they have to start with an already existing mosquito to clone it, same with genetically modifying. It's not support for evolution because evolution because it supports Abiogenesis, which even the notion of spontaneous generation was disproved by Louis Pasteur. So, can you find a way to maybe back up cloning and genetically modifications to evolution?

OpenStudy (greencat):

In the Quran, God challenges to make a mosquito (or at least the wing of one, not sure). it's imposibble
