Cassius is not pleased about the way things are looking in Rome, and he subtly tries to convince Brutus to join him in a plot against Caesar. Brutus catches his drift, but he loves Caesar, so he needs a little time to decide. They run into Casca, a politician, who confirms that Antony offered Caesar the crown three times, and that Caesar refused each time.
