Which word or phrase helps clarify the meaning of the word aridity? Texas' Trans-Pecos Region The Trans-Pecos region is located in the far west area of Texas. The Chihuahuan Desert and various mountain ranges primarily make up the area. The region has more clear days than any other region in the state. The Trans-Pecos region is known for its aridity. This condition is responsible for the growing size of the desert lands. Even though the region does get rain during the summer months, its average annual rainfall is particularly low.
