Which word in the sentence, if any, should be followed by a semicolon? My parents are cleaning the house that means we must be expecting company. A. house B. There is no error in semicolon usage. C. must D. cleaning

It is definetly not ''must'' because the sentence is being continued where the word must appears. If you read the sentence the is a slight pause between ''house'' and ''that'' So then the semicolon has to be after the word ''house and before the word ''that'' So,the answer should be C house.
