Solve the inequality. Then graph the solutions on a number line. 7x−3x≤16 What are the solutions of the inequality? Select the correct choice below and fill in the answer box to complete your choice.

Mehek (mehek14):

subtract 7 - 3

OpenStudy (anonymous):

do u know what the answer is.

Mehek (mehek14):

yes i do but you have to learn how to solve it

OpenStudy (anonymous):

7x−3x≤16, well you nw have two coefficients of x which are 7 and 3 so subtract them away as mentioned in the problem statement, you will get : 4x≤16 , then to simplify this away you just divide both sides by 4 to get only x in one side and any thing other than x on the other hand, then you will get : x≤4, this is the solution of the inequality Let me know if you got it :)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i already solved it but it came out 122

Mehek (mehek14):

how...??

OpenStudy (anonymous):

can i have the answer pleace and thank u

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Solution : x≤4 and the steps I just mentioned above :) A representation on the number line will be sth like that : |dw:1429224711144:dw|
