is x - y transitive for the set of real numbers?

OpenStudy (perl):

is there more information to this question

OpenStudy (misty1212):

really the question doesn't make sense only a "relation" can be transitive, and \(x-y\) is not a relation if it was say \(x-y=5\) then that would be a relation

OpenStudy (anonymous):

you are correct it is supposed to be the relation x - y = 0 for the set of real numbers
