Plz help. Name our galaxy, and describe the size, characteristics and organization of planets in our solar system. (include relative temperature, size, and composition)
The name of our galaxy is the Milky Way. --Mercury, despite of being the closest to the sun, is not the hottest. When it is day time, it can get as hot as 801 degrees F, and during the night 279. It is the smallest planet, (disregarding Pluto, since it is a 'dwarf planet'), being comparable to the size of the continental United States, and its mass being 328.5E21 kg. Venus, being the second next to the sun, is the hottest. With an -average- of 864 degrees F, and lead can even melt on the surface. The mass of Venus is 4.867E24 kg, being close to the mass of Earth, (Earth's being 5.972E24 kg) and considered as Earth's "twin planet." Earth, the planet we live on, is third closest to the sun. It is the densest planet in the solar system, being 5.51 g/cm³. Its mass, like I said above, is 5.972E24 kg. It is the largest of the inner-planets. (Mercury, Venus, Earth, and Mars.) Earth, due to being tilted on its axis, it varies on where you live temperature-wise. North is usually coldest, while the South is warmer. On the "average scale," I'd go with about 70 - 80 degrees F. Mars is the fourth planet from the sun. Its mass is 639E21 kg, and has an average temperature of 70 degrees F, and in the winter, can be as cold as -175 degrees F, at night time, -100 degrees F. --Don't worry, we're not even halfway done. We still have 4 left. c: Now to the outer planets, or as some call them, the gas planets! Jupiter, being by far the largest planet in the solar system, is the fifth planet from the sun. It has a mass of 1.898E27 kg, and an average temperature of -234 degrees F. That's cold. Saturn, the sixth planet from the sun, has a mass of 568.3E24 kg. It is also referred to as the "ring planet," from the rings made of dust, rock, gas, and other things. It has an average of -270, and there are a few spots where it can reach 80 degrees F, but these places are dangerous due to high atmospheric pressure. Uranus, being the seventh planet from the sun, has a mass of 86.81E24 kg. Its coldest temperature is -370 degrees F, while the warmest is -243. --One more to go! Neptune, being the farthest from the sun (besides Pluto) is my favorite planet, and has a mass of 102.4E24 kg. Its warmest temperature is -240 degrees F, and its coldest is -330. There!
