How is the underlined word used in the sentence? We rode to the concert in an old bus. A. direct object B. subject C. object of a preposition D. direct address

OpenStudy (anonymous):

the underlined word is bus

OpenStudy (twizttiez):

What do you think?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I think its A but i'm not sure

OpenStudy (twizttiez):

It cant be the subject because we is the subject. it is not the direct address. it is not a direct object because it is not receiving the action of the verb. therefore, it must be the object of the preposition. also, in the prepositional phrase " in an old bus" it must be the OP because it is the only noun in the prepositional phrase.

OpenStudy (blank ):

"We" is the subject so it can't be B. It is not "D. direct address" either. It is the determiner of a prepositional phrase though. I say it is C.

OpenStudy (twizttiez):

Sooo our answer is C ^-^

OpenStudy (blank ):

Yep. :)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ohh I was way off

OpenStudy (twizttiez):

It happens no worries ^-^
