Which topic could be shown in a line graph? favorite food weight of 5th grade students amount of rainfall each week age of people at a concert

OpenStudy (hitaro9):

Alright, so a line graph is used to show how two different things relate. For example, you could make a line graph of how much money you make every allowance: |dw:1429332255212:dw|

OpenStudy (hitaro9):

It wouldn't make much sense to have a line graph were you aren't comparing two different things that change

OpenStudy (hitaro9):

So of those 4 options, what has multiple variables changing?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so it would be amount of rainfall each week?

OpenStudy (hitaro9):

Yes. That's right. Because you're comparing A) the amount of rainfall to B) the time

OpenStudy (hitaro9):

With the other 3 options, only 1 thing is changing (age, favorite food, weight, etc). Not over time of with respect to some other variable

OpenStudy (hitaro9):

Do you want to do one more quick example to make sure you got it?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

no thanks I understand it thanks

OpenStudy (hitaro9):

Alright then.
