Why did the Mongols live lives of raiding?

Nomadic lifestyle was normal for the Mongols. They lived mobile lifestyles, and when they needed resources or whatever they would easily raid a weaker tribe or camp. When they finally unified under Chengis Khan, this played to their advantage as the war strategies they developed through their raiding culture translated very successfully to war especially with the Europeans and Arabs.
Mongols were nomadic people thus, they also seek for resources. Their reason of raid can varies. In my opinion, I think theres more to it then resource that they want.
