The act of the bombing was a political move, one intended to prevent the United States from interfering in Japanese advancement and subsequent takeover of neighboring Asiatic countries (i.e. China, Mongolia, Manchuria).Though only partially successful - the attack was aimed at destroying U.S. aircraft carriers, which were fortunately not present at the time - it still begs the question: Could the attack have been prevented? I dont know, the way your essay is written, you should keep it exactly how it is.
You emphasize "Pearl Harbor" and then u declare that nearly everyone has heard of it.
Keep it that way (what grade u in)
