I need help please ! :[ im a senior i need to get this done its only algebra 1 i just need help really bad. ASAP Which of the following is not a way to represent the solution of the inequality 7 - 9x - (x + 12) less than or greater to 25? A)x greater than or equal to -3 B)x less than or greater to -3 C)-3 less than or greater to x D)A number line with a closed circle on negative 3 and shading to the right

Mehek (mehek14):

less than or equal to/greater than or equal to means a closed circle

Mehek (mehek14):

if it's just > or < it would be an open circle

Mehek (mehek14):

but you have to first solve for x

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yeah that < or> @Mehek14

OpenStudy (anonymous):

kk

Mehek (mehek14):

you can't just directly know the answer solve for x first

OpenStudy (anonymous):

By the way, which one do you think it is?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i got 7-9x-(x+12)<25 7-9x-x-12<25 -10x<25+12-7 -10x<30 x>-3

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Correct!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yay can you help me with another one ?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

A company did a quality check on all the packs of roasted almonds it manufactured. Each pack of roasted almonds is targeted to weigh 21.25 oz. A pack must weigh within 0.24 oz of the target weight to be accepted. What is the range of rejected masses, x, for the manufactured roasted almonds? A)< 21.01 or x > 21.49 because |x - 0.24| + 21.25 > 0 B)x < 21.25 or x > 21.49 because |x - 21.25| > 0.24 C)x < 21.01 or x > 21.49 because |x - 21.25| > 0.24 D)x < 21.25 or x > 21.49 because |x - 0.24| + 21.25 > 0

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@Nnesha

OpenStudy (anonymous):

hi Nnesha i need help wit this one

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@HELPMEPLZ!!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Hi @HELPMEPLZ!!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

can you help me ?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@Najia2000

OpenStudy (anonymous):

oh geez idk this

OpenStudy (anonymous):

oh :[

OpenStudy (anonymous):

srry :(

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Lol. Open this in a new question, and please give me a medal for this question? :P

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@calculusxy

OpenStudy (calculusxy):

Solve the inequality for the value of x.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

OpenStudy (calculusxy):

Then just put: x (carry down the inequality symbol) answer

OpenStudy (anonymous):

OpenStudy (anonymous):

im on the next one im talkin bout this ^

OpenStudy (anonymous):

If i gave you the answer would you just give me a medal?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

if x is under 21.01 or over 21.49 then the absolute value of x-21.25 is greater than .24 because x would be more than .24 over or under the target mass. ex: 19.3 would be rejected because |19.3-21.25|=1.95 which is greater than .24 So therefore i'd go for C.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

im new at this idk how to give a medal
