X^2 + 12x +

whats the rest of the equation and what are you supposed to do?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

It fill in the blank. Algebra

OpenStudy (anonymous):

multiple choice??

OpenStudy (anonymous):

nope

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Fill in the blank to make a perfect square.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

to find the 3rd value, you divide 12x (so 12) by 2, then square that value to give you your third

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so 12/2 = 6^2 = 36

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so x^2 + 12x + 36 ------> (x + 6)^2

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Thank you. 36 is right

OpenStudy (astrophysics):

Notice this is complete the square method, exactly what @xhonapulaj showed you.
