Which expression could be used to calculate the amount of tax on an item if the tax is 6.5% and the item is d dollars?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

0.65d

OpenStudy (anonymous):

where o.65 is the percentage of the tax and d is the amount of dollars multiplied by the tax

OpenStudy (anonymous):

thanks

OpenStudy (anonymous):

no prob :))

OpenStudy (anonymous):

0.065*

It is not so simple as this. If D is the price including the tax, then the tax is 0.065*(D/1.065). If D is the price without the tax, than it is simply D*0.065.
