Percent means divided by 100. For example, 1% means 1/100 = 0.01 If going from percent to decimal, you divide by 100, then going from decimal to percent you multiply by 100.

OpenStudy (mathstudent55):

1 = 100% 2 = 200% From decimal to percent, multiply by 100. From 6.70 to percent, multiply 6.70 by 100.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

two ways to do this...move decimal 2 spaces to the right or multiply by 100

OpenStudy (mathstudent55):

In other words, \(6.70 \ne 6.7\%\)
