Which is a solution to the equation y = 3x + 1? A. (3, 10) B. (2, 6) C. (1, 5) D. (0, 3)

OpenStudy (dtan5457):

Just plug in a x value from each of your answer and see if the right y value comes out

OpenStudy (rhystic):

You just have the plug in the coordinates into the equation. (x,y) so for : A. (x,y) = (3,10) - > y = 3x + 1 -> 10 = 3(3) + 1 -> 10 = 10 yes. B. (x,y) = (2,6) - > y = 3x + 1 -> 6 = 3(2) + 1 -> 6 = 7 no. C. (x,y) = (1,5) - > y = 3x +1 -> 5 = 3(1) + 1 -> 5 = 4 no. D. (x,y) = (0,3) -> y = 3x + 1 -> 0 = 3(3) + 1 -> 0 = 4 no.
