I'm okay with basics and geometry but I haven't been able to understand algebra at all

I don't really know how to do that. I've never been good at math and i usually tend to forget.. unfortunatly

Ahh dont worry about if you are good or not :) You still just havent tried enough maht to know if you will be good or bad in it

I guess. I try really hard and start to understand it but then i start the test and i have a mind block

Lets start with making a simple equation first,
Think about a balancing scale, say I have some weight that weights some unknown quantity, this quantity is called x, Now I place this weight of x on one side of the balancing scale and a weight of 2x on the other side like so:
