My gosh, I love how busy this math section is. <33 I need some help factoring. I would love if someone could walk through with me, as I have a weak spot for factoring polynomials and I really need to begin understanding it. :P Here's the question: Factor a number, variable, or expression out of the polynomial shown below. x(6x - 1) - 3(6x - 1)
\(\bf x{\color{blue}{ (6x - 1)}} - 3{\color{blue}{ (6x - 1)}}\) notice any common factors?
Thanks :P Would that by chance factor out just to one 6x-1?
well... if you take out (6x-1) from the 1st it's left with only "x" if you take out (6x-1) from the 2nd one it's left with only "-3" thus \(\bf x{\color{blue}{ (6x - 1)}} - 3{\color{blue}{ (6x - 1)}}\implies (6x-1)(x-3)\)
OHHH okay, thanks so much :3
