Which is proof that in any synthesis reaction, a chemical change has occurred? In a synthesis reaction, two reactants combine to form a new compound. Many synthesis reactions involve a phase change. In a synthesis reaction, oxygen is always converted to carbon dioxide. All synthesis reactions are exothermic.

OpenStudy (matt101):

What do you think?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I think it is A or C

OpenStudy (matt101):

2H2 + O2 --> 2H2O is an example of a synthesis reaction. No carbon dioxide there.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Okay, so it is A ?

OpenStudy (matt101):

Yup!
