(***PLease help!!**)) A square ceiling has a diagonal of 24 ft. Shelton wants to put molding around the perimeter of the ceiling. How many feet of molding will he need? Round to the nearest foot.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

to get the length of one side of the square, divide the diagonal by \(\sqrt2\) then multiply the result by \(4\) to get the perimeter

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so \[24 \div \sqrt{2}\] ?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

or is it the sqrt of 24? Because that's 4.9 and then i'll divide it by 4? so 1.22??? I'm confused @satellite73
