When you simplify each side of the equation 2(3n – 5) + 4 = 15 –(9n – 4), you will get the equivalent equation 6n – 6 = -9n + 11. True False

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Did you simplify? or do u not know how? @princesslizzy16

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i dont know how !

OpenStudy (anonymous):

You would multiply whats on the outside of the parentheses whith whats on the inside. You would get 6N - 10 + 4 (ON THE LEFTS SIDE)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

give me a sec so i can write it down

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ok

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Are you ready for the right side? @princesslizzy16

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yea

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ok. So since there is a - on the outside of the parenthises, then everything of the inside is a negative.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

So 15 times -9N would equal -135N

OpenStudy (anonymous):

do you get so far? @princesslizzy16

OpenStudy (anonymous):

you -135N - 60 (on the right side)
